About Gecko Pest
I founded Gecko Pest to address a gap in the market for pest control companies. Occitanie is home to thousands of English speakers, many of them relatively new to France, who are more comfortable dealing with trades in English than they are in French. Many of my clients are second-home owners, landlords, or expats who need clear communication and reliable results without the language barrier.
My Experience
I worked in the pest control industry in Western Canada for over 10 years before moving to France. I was the first Canadian to receive Associate Certified Entomologist status from the Entomological Society of America, and successfully ran my own company in Edmonton, Alberta, until I couldn’t take -40°C winters anymore.
I’ve worked on everything from major bedbug infestations in social housing units to apartment buildings taken over by cockroaches to rats in residential attics and birds in commercial warehouses. I’ve specialized in fast response, exceptional customer service, and evidence-based strategies that really work.
Now, I’m looking to serve the English-speaking community in Hérault, Aude, Pyrenees-Orientales, and beyond.
